City of Cards C2.18: Here!
Another short blog post as this is my last week of training at my new job before the holidays and I haven't had a lot of time/mental energy to get much more done.
To sum things up, though, I love my job. Absolutely. Being able to work in comics is a dream come true and I hope that this experience will allow me to help others make and promote quality, interesting work and to be able to reach wider audiences.
Okay, sap time over. I plan to rock out a bunch of City of Cards stuff during my few days off this holiday so that I can keep up a good schedule. Ideally, I'll knock out the rest of the inks for Chapter Two and be able to focus in on getting the pencils for Chapter Three done. I sent the script for the fourth chapter out to get looked over so all of that is a go.

Congratulations on the new job at Boom, that sounds great! I'm impressed that you're keeping up City of Cards. (I stopped temping and started working full time a few weeks ago and it's way harder to make time for comics than I predicted, but I feel like I'm finally starting to get the hang of it.) Also, Plato is the best! Happy Holidays to you as well!

ReplyDeleteDude, you have no idea how much I appreciate your comments. It is definitely very hard to maintain a comic while working full time, especially when I work on comics the rest of the day. Knowing people read and enjoy my work makes it all worthwhile.
Congrats on your employment as well! I'm glad to know you're figuring out your own schedule. I've really loved seeing all the sketches and mini comics you've been posting on your blog.
